Sullivan's Birthday!

We couldn't have been any more thrilled to have cheerful Sullivan home and feeling much better for his 9th birthday! In these pictures, Sulli still had the splints in his nose, but today the doctor took them out. Sulli is SO patriotic. When he was still in the hospital, Mama worried about the care he would receive from one particular nurse after he (in a very medicated state of mind) began sharing all of the reasons why Obama shouldn't be elected! On another day in the hospital, when he was more coherent, he requested I make a Confederate flag cake for his birthday, because he bluntly said that he knew I couldn't do fifty straight stars for an American flag. :) We are so happy to have our sweet Sullivan home!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY SULLIVAN!
I love the story of Sullivan telling the nurse about Obama and your mom worrying about his care!!! ha ha ha ha. That reminds me of when Ronald Reagan got shot when he was President and when they were about to operate on him he asked the doctor if he was a Democrat or a Republican because he was worried about the care he would receive!! He he he he he!!
I I'm so happy to see the birthday pictures of you all! And "WOW" I love that cake, Meredith!!!

EMAILS SENT FOR SULLI AT MAMA'S BLOG:

Joy,

....writing to let you know that we are continuously in prayer for Sullivan today.

Brenda Brewster

Dear Joy and family,

You are in our prayers during this time as we seek the Lord on behalf of Sullivan. If there is anything we can do for you, please don't hesitate to ask.

With much love, The Jones family

Hi Joy!

I just wanted you all to know that we've been thinking about you. We were so sorry to hear about Sullivan. Marcella has been keeping me posted based on the updates she receives from your mom. Tell Sullivan that the Pollards wish him a great big happy 9th birthday.

Take care and we'll catch up later!

Much love,

Beth

Hello Joy!

For some reason, I wasn’t able to leave a comment on your or Meredith’s post. I just wanted you to know what a blessing it was to read what the Lord is and has been doing in the lives of your precious family. You have often been in our prayers, as we hear of various trials you are going through. Please know that your family is a shining light to those of us blessed to know you. I know how trials can be so painful and very wearying, yet your willingness to go through the refining fire instead of fighting it every step of the way is a godly testimony. Thank you! We will continue to pray for you and your sweet family.

Just brought up your website to check on Sullivan’s progress. Yesterday Tam, mom and I were picking blueberries at a friends house when Tammy yelled out the time so there in the field we sat there and prayed for your baby (doesn’t matter the age). Praise the Lord the Dr’s are pleased and we continue praying Sullivan is able to celebrate his birthday At home and well!!

God IS Good ALL The Time !!!

Love you,

Bonnie
